A 2015 Prayer: Living to Work for the Glory of God!

Background:
While the Bible clearly tells us to Live Sent all the time and anywhere, I thought it appropriate to reflect today on work's contribution (our vocations) to that mission. Let's take a look at two scripture verses from the book of Genesis:
Genesis 1:1 New International Version (NIV)
The Beginning
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 2:15 New International Version (NIV)
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
A Prayer as We Begin our 2015 Year at Work:
Lord, I understand that You are the God of Creation and of Work. I know that my Work is Holy. May I live to work for Your Glory in 2015. Amen.
"The question is not whether we should live sent. Rather, the question is why not?"

According to Dr. Amy Sherman, there are at least 4 ways to Live Sent:
1. Bloom where you are planted.
Care to help build the Kingdom right where God has you assigned in the marketplace?

Jerry's Message
The purpose of Living Sent Ministries is to inspire and equip business and professional leaders to live out their Christian faith. It is about "Connecting Sunday to Monday". A core principle of Living Sent Ministries is that God gave you your business or job (vocation) to build the Kingdom.

Colossians 3:17, NIV: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
